If you've never heard of this, the Turks and Caicos Islands is a very small country of 26,000 people south of the Bahamas. The idea of it joining Canada has been discussed over the years. Any opinions?

Yeah..why not :-))

But I do worry about what would happen to a small insignificant country like Canada as it gets swamped in the obviously much more powerful and importand Turks and Caicos Islands.

I wouldn't want you Canadians to loose that quirky identity of yours :-))

Seriously... It's good for Canada..because.. you now have your own Carabeen getaway..Perhaps you could ban Americans!?

And it is good for the Turks and Caicos because they are now linked to a larger economy with new markets open to them..and a Canadian Passport would be a better document to travel on..

Though I don't know if the Queen will allow it!! The Turks and Caicos are still part of the British Empire.

I should have you done for treason!

Perhaps a even better idea..would be perhaps to allow that insignificant neighbour to the south as you join as a junior partner :-))))

We definitely need our "place in the sun". It has been suggested before and I think it would make a good fit. I think we have a lot to offer to the Turks and Cacaos. I also believe with our powerful armed forces we could easily subdue the puny Turk and Caicosian forces. I have heard say they only have one fishing boat in their entire Navy, we easily outgun them with our fleet of pleasure craft. Their Army is also a technological joke having not gone beyond sticks and stones, which will be easily overpowered by our superior pitch forks and shovels.

in all likelihood no longer, yet they do deserve one yet another for any sort of reasons. perhaps Canada can purely invade the T&C and then they might administration the old salt pans on Salt Cay and use that old, wiped out on line casino on Grand Turk island for bombing prepare

no ,due the fact canada could not afford to administer or defend in times of war these islands properly!
